"Lean Mean Thirteen" Book Review of Janet Evanovich's latest

I just finished reading the latest mystery from Janet Evanovich in her series about bounty hunter Stephanie Plum. If you've never read any of the Plum novels and you enjoy a fun easy reading mystery that offers lots of laughs and some solid suspense this is a series that you need to check out. Evanovich has constructed all the elements of a great series with a consistent familiar setting that is well described and a set of engaging characters that draw you into the story. For my money she is by far one of the best mystery writers out there today with an easy to read style that make her books hard to put down.

In her most recent novel "Lean Mean Thirteen" ("LMT"), Evanovich doesn't disappoint and comes through again with another hilarious novel involving the misadventures of New Jersey bounty hunter Stephanie Plum. The story revolves around Stephanie's ex-husband Dickie a small-time lawyer who goes missing and Stephanie becomes a suspects as partners in Dickie's law firm turn up dead. The book takes the reader through a series of twists and turns as Stephanie works to find Dickie and figure out what he's been up to that has mobsters chasing him. I won't give you any more details of the plot since I don't want to reveal any spoilers just suffice it to say that LMT continues on the fun of the Plum series of books.
